Randall Lee Jones

-

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Randall Lee Jones, 66. Randy was born on October 14, 1955 in

Duluth, Minnesota and passed away, unexpectedly, at home on April 21, 2022. Randy resided most of his life in Tanglewood in Bainbridge Twp., Ohio and graduated from Kenston High in 1974. His work experiences include work in the gas and oil industry, owning a sporting goods store and starting a family business in door and window replacement.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents Rodney and Phyllis Jones. Left to cherish his memory are his children Rebecca Pursley (Josh Rider), Matt Jones (Roseanne), grandchildren and sister Linda Smither with her family.

Randy grew up camping and skiing with his family and became an accomplished downhill skier, never forgetting to boast about the house he jumped over in Colorado. Randy loved going to Nascar races, on four-wheeling adventures and always loved a good road trip to anywhere, at any time, with anyone that would join him. He loved to fish and be on the water in his boat. He took extreme pride in his children, and his family was the most treasured love of his life. Randy’s five grandchildren,

Brandon (23), Addison (10), Elsie (7), Evelynn (5) and Ember (2) were his heart and joy. They spent many days chasing toads, visiting the playground and exploring on their golf cart rides. If the kids were getting in trouble, it was typically Randy who was head of the pack.

No one who knew Randy can forget his big personality, his infectious sense of humor, or his passion for telling a good story or a stupid joke. He was always there when

anyone needed him, with a huge heart, generous spirit and the gift of caring, love and laughter. Randy’s spirit isn’t gone...he lives on in the hearts and souls of his children, grandchildren and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Randy’s ashes will be buried alongside his mother and father at Restland Cemetery in Bainbridge, Ohio. Please join his family for a celebration of life May 28th @ 1230 at Helen Hazen Wyman Park, 6101 Painesville Warren Road, Concord to share a few good stories, a few pictures and a BBQ picnic.
