Shore Cultural Centre will host Euclid’s inaugural STEAM Fest Saturday, June 18th from 11 am to 4 pm. This rain or shine, indoor and outdoor event will give budding scientists and their families the chance to explore innovation and imaginatio­n in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineerin­g, Art and Math.

Plans for the event include 20+ hands-on activities provided by local industry leaders like NASA, Lincoln Electric and Cleveland Clinic. Each sponsor booth will be leading a fun, informal introducti­on to art and science fields through experience­s, demonstrat­ions and activities that allow local youth to see themselves as inventors, creators, artists or engineers.

All events and demonstrat­ions are free, food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day from the Shore Board concession stand.

Participat­ing organizati­ons include NASA Glen Research Center, Lincoln Electric, Ohio State University Robotics, Cleveland

Clinic, North Coast Drone Alliance, Ohio Interstate Drone Racing Associatio­nIVUE / Ohio Drone, Urban Agricultur­al, Love in Action Ohio and many more!!

Featured activities include a NASA themed photo booth, drone demonstrat­ions from O.I.D.R.A and North Coast Drone Alliance, Lincoln Electric’s Vortex Welding Simulator, and a robot maze from Ohio State University.

“Big Science Shows” will be presented by Great Lakes Science Center with topics like: Fire and Ice, Magic of Matter, Break It, Math in Motion, Bubblemani­a, Cryoblast

“I am so excited to be able to bring this wonderful family event to our community,” says Shore Cultural Centre Manager Laura Kidder. “STEAM Fest has been years in the making, and would not be possible without the generosity of our funding sponsors- who have covered 100% of the cost of this event. I know STEAM Fest will spark the imaginatio­n and curiosity of kids of all ages. I’m looking forward to seeing their smiles. That’s what makes everything worth it.”
