The Fine Arts Association presents “Alice in Danceland” the brand new musical, based on the characters created by Lewis Carroll. This family-friendly, world premiere production runs from June 10 through June 26 in the Corning Auditorium at The Fine Arts Association.
Alice is graduating High School in a matter of days. Everyone else seems to have a plan: college, jobs, internships, but not Alice. She is completely lost. Her inner, creative self transports Alice to Danceland, introduces her to the inhabitants, and tries to connect her inner creativity with her outward self. Will Alice find herself in the arts?
“Alice in Danceland” is the creation of writer/director David Malinowski, composer/lyricist Kyle Lorek, and choreographer Howard Washington.
The creative team has assembled a stellar cast of triple threats to bring this reimagined fairy tale to the stage including Eva Anderson as Alice, Anna Pennock as Inner Alice, Halle St. John as The Mad Hatter, and
Makenna Hagan as The Queen of Hearts. “Alice in Danceland” is rated PG and is especially appropriate for ages eight and older.
Tickets are $15 for children, ages ten and under; $23 for children, ages eleven and over and senior citizens and $25 for adults. Performances are June 10, 17, 18, 24, and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and June 26 at 2:00 p.m. In addition, the June 26th performance is sign interpreted, by The HeArd, for our hearing-impaired patrons.
