For the record: It’s another trip to a regional final for Chagrin Falls after a year away. The Tigers jumped to an early lead against Chardon, which mirrored their prior two postseason games. With the Tigers’ offense clicking on all cylinders, it will be up to the Canfield defense to try and stop the attack. But with the Tigers attacking third highlighted by the duo of Peyton Gellin and Aubree Daugherty to go with other skilled attackers, that will be easier said than done for the Cardinals. … The Chagrin Falls’ defense returned to form against Chardon. The Tigers held the Hilltoppers to two goals in the first half. With goalie Kiera Moran’s lead from the pipes this season, teams have only averaged seven goals this season. The Tigers’ defensive third has held seven teams to five goals or less this season. … The Canfield offense has been strong this season with an average of 13 goals a game with Emily Wilson, Sarah Grohovsky and Ally Wilson at the head of a senior-laden Cardinals team. Canfield’s defense held Kenston’s leading scorer to two goals. They will need to follow a similar strategy going into the regional final. … Both teams come in undefeated in Region 6 action this season. One team will have to see a one enter the loss column when the pair meet.

Hercik’s pick: Chagrin Falls
