Holy Cross celebrated nearly 755 bachelor of arts degree recipients at its 176th Commenceme­nt held in person on Friday, May 27 at the DCU Center in Worcester.

Wilkes University

Katelyn Kinczel of Highland Heights was named to the Dean’s List at Wilkes University for the spring 2022 semester.

To be named to the Dean’s List, students must obtain a minimum 3.5 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

Marietta College

About 170 Marietta College students were named to the Spring 2022 Dean’s High Honors List, which features any full-time student completing at least 15 credit hours with a grade point average of 3.75 or better in a given semester.

The list included Lillian Daneshmand of Chardon, who is majoring in Physics and is a graduate of South High School.

Ohio Wesleyan University

Ohio Wesleyan University held its 178th commenceme­nt ceremony on May 7, celebratin­g its Class of 2022.

Local residents graduating this spring are:

Nick Canitia of Chester Township. Canitia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude and was a Finance Economics major and an Accounting minor.

Acadia Caryl of Highland Heights. Caryl earned a Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude and was an English (Literature) and Psychology major and an Environmen­tal Studies minor.

Nick Malenda of Cleveland. Malenda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude and was a Health and Human Kinetics (Exercise Science) major .

Eva Mulloy of Novelty. Mulloy earned a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude and was an Astrophysi­cs major and a Spanish minor.

Madyson Paradie of Madison. Paradie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude and was an Economics major and a Data and Society minor.
