Ohio Horseman’s Council sets date for flea market
Geauga County Ohio Horseman’s Council’s benefit Flea Market will take place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 9, at The West Woods, picnic shelter area, 9465 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.
Organizers are looking for people to sign on as a vendor or shop for items like antiques, collectibles, household/garage sale items, crafts and other miscellany to support area bridle trails, according to a news release. This event, hosted by the Geauga County branch of Ohio Horseman’s Council is now in its 16th year.
Historically about 50 vendors participate in this flea market venue. All vendor fees benefit the Geauga County Chapter of the Ohio Horseman’s Council, and the Bridle Trail Fund, administered by the Foundation for Geauga Parks on behalf OHC, the release stated.
The purpose of the fund is to provide for the development of bridle trails open to the public across Geauga County.

The Bridle Trail Fund is one of the initiatives supported by the Foundation for Geauga Parks, an independent nonprofit that raises funds to benefit all parks in Geauga County, the release stated.
Its mission is to fund community engagement with nature through education, preservation, conservation and appreciation of the unique natural character of Geauga County.
