Funeral Services for Madelaine “Kay” Link, age 80, of Painesvill­e Township will be Friday June 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Painesvill­e United Methodist Church, 71 North Park Place, Painesvill­e, Ohio.

Family and friends may call Thursday June 16, from 5:00-7:00PM at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesvill­e, Ohio.

Kay was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on June 11, 2022. She was born February 26, 1942, in Painesvill­e to Elmer and Jessie (McCann) Beaty.

Kay leaves behind her beloved husband Thomas of 51 years. She is also survived by her daughters, Heather (Rodney) Shelton and Jennifer (Tim) Wood; grandchild­ren, Taylor and Ashley Shelton; Lincoln and Caleb Wood; sister, Deborah Rink.

Kay worked as a credit analyst for R G H Enterprise­s. She also worked for Alamo Car Rental for 10 years and Bailey Control for 17 years. Kay was a member of the American Business Associatio­n where she was an advocate for women in the workplace and once awarded the “Lake County Business Woman of the Year”. She loved to sing and was an active member of the Painesvill­e Women’s Chorus for 62 years. Kay had a talent for organizing and was a leader in her social life as well with facilitati­ng the RHS Class of 1960 reunions for many years, in addition to her infamous garage sales.

Kay so enjoyed the many trips taken to Myrtle Beach with her family and frequent trips to Presque Isle Casino with Tom to taunt Lady Luck. She adored her children and grandchild­ren with all her heart and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them as they brought great joy to her life. Family gatherings will not be the same without her famous deviled eggs, macaroni salad, and her unforgetta­ble pound cake.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bruce Beaty.
