The News Herald (Willoughby, OH)
Library series turns to local history
Willowick Public Library will be holding a special year-long series exploring local areas of interest throughout Northeast Ohio.
This monthly series continues at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 15, with the Historical Societies of Western Lake County. Representatives from the area’s historical societies, including Angela Schmidt (Eastlake), Theresa Shine (Wickliffe), William Henrich (Willoughby) and Frank Cihula (Willoughby Hills), will share the history of our area, according to a news release.
Each of these historical societies collect and maintain artifacts and materials related to their cities. Attendees can discover what makes each city unique.
Looking ahead, March’s event will be “Gems and Jewels” and will feature The Holden Arboretum on March 15.
This special series is free to attend, however registration is required. Visit we247.org or call 440-943-4151 for more information or to register.
The Willowick Public Library is located at 263 E. 305 St.
