Rabbit Run, Madison library announce dates for art show
The 31st Annual Juried Art Show, sponsored by Rabbit Run Community Arts Association and the Madison Public Library, opens April 5 and applications for admission will be accepted beginning March 13.
For over 30 years RRCAA in cooperation with the Madison Public Library has sponsored this adjudicated event showcasing the artwork of some of Northeast Ohio’s most talented visual artists, according to a news release.
The art show runs from April 5 to May 3, at the library and is open to all visual artists in Northeast Ohio. Any high school or adult artist may submit up to three works in any twodimensional medium, and small three-dimensional works may be submitted as well.
Cash prizes will be awarded for Best of Show and First Place to both adult and students in painting, drawing, photography and three-dimensional categories, the release stated.
Ribbons will be presented for First, Second and Honorable Mention in all categories for both adults and students.
Jurors for the show will be announced at a later date.
Applications for entry will be accepted from March 13 through April 3 and are available at RRCAA, 49 Park St. in Madison Village; the Madison Public Library, 6111 Middle Ridge Road; or by visiting rabbitrun.org.
There is a non-refundable entry fee of $25 for adults and $7 for students.
The Art Show Awards reception is April 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the library.
RRCAA is a nonprofit, comprehensive fine arts association offering instruction in all the major disciplines of the fine and performing arts and receives partial funding from the Ohio Arts Council, the release stated.
