Rabbit Run, Madison library announce dates for art show

The 31st Annual Juried Art Show, sponsored by Rabbit Run Community Arts Associatio­n and the Madison Public Library, opens April 5 and applicatio­ns for admission will be accepted beginning March 13.

For over 30 years RRCAA in cooperatio­n with the Madison Public Library has sponsored this adjudicate­d event showcasing the artwork of some of Northeast Ohio’s most talented visual artists, according to a news release.

The art show runs from April 5 to May 3, at the library and is open to all visual artists in Northeast Ohio. Any high school or adult artist may submit up to three works in any twodimensi­onal medium, and small three-dimensiona­l works may be submitted as well.

Cash prizes will be awarded for Best of Show and First Place to both adult and students in painting, drawing, photograph­y and three-dimensiona­l categories, the release stated.

Ribbons will be presented for First, Second and Honorable Mention in all categories for both adults and students.

Jurors for the show will be announced at a later date.

Applicatio­ns for entry will be accepted from March 13 through April 3 and are available at RRCAA, 49 Park St. in Madison Village; the Madison Public Library, 6111 Middle Ridge Road; or by visiting rabbitrun.org.

There is a non-refundable entry fee of $25 for adults and $7 for students.

The Art Show Awards reception is April 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the library.

RRCAA is a nonprofit, comprehens­ive fine arts associatio­n offering instructio­n in all the major discipline­s of the fine and performing arts and receives partial funding from the Ohio Arts Council, the release stated.
