How fun is this??! If you’ve never seen a total solar eclipse in your lifetime, here’s your chance! It is truly a breath-taking sight, and if you don’t see the 2024 eclipse, many of you likely never will one because it won’t happen again until 2045! Plus, this one will also last longer and cast a wider shadow than the 2017 eclipse, meaning it will be more easily viewed this time! What an exciting, adventure this is going to be – a VERY special tour we’re so happy to offer our wonderful TLC Family… let’s go together!!

Eclipse Day is April 8th, 2024 – Our Prime Location: Prestonsburg KY.

On this day, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk. The eclipse starts at 12:44 with the magnitude of the eclipse at 2:03 pm, and it ends at 3:19 pm. Per the Kentucky Science Center, which is considered one of the most technologically advanced planetariums in the world (yes, the world!), Prestonsburg will have approx. 97.9% totality for the 2024 Eclipse, which is why we’re headed there to see it from this great vantage point – Wow!! ~~ But there are many more ‘unusual’ and ‘unique’ things to see & do on this Spring gem: For instance, when was the last time you went “Elk viewing”? KY is now considered the “Elk Capital East of the Rockies” and is estimated at over 10,000 elk. We’re joined by a naturalist who takes us on a tour to see these majestic animals in their natural habitat * Tour Loretta Lynn’s Butcher Holler’ Homestead and visit Webb’s Grocery Store owned by Loretta’s brother – enjoy an oldfashioned ‘Moon Pie’ and an RC Cola! * Visit the Van Lear Coal Mining Museum, the Country Music Highway Museum, and take your seats at the Mountain Arts Center for dinner and a fabulous show of familiar bluegrass, country and gospel songs, plus homespun comedy – so Fun! * The 8th is “Eclipse Day” and we spend it at the huge Jenny Wiley Amphitheater where live musical entertainment will be continuous along with festivities of all kinds – Artisan Vendors, Food Trucks, Lectures by an Expert Astronomer, Drum Circle Lessons, Suncatcher Making (extra fee), and more! When it’s ‘eclipse time’, we’ll view this amazing phenomenon outside the convention center and experience one of the cosmos’s most intriguing celestial events! This rural area has a history (some imagined, some true) of moonshine making, and one evening we’ll have fun at a ‘Moonshine Hideaway Tour’ with a BBQ dinner and music by the Band! * There’s more, but no room – Call for the full Flyer and then get your reservation in as soon as possible. The space in Prestonburg is selling out in record time, and we don’t want to lose our space!! We’re offering a $40 discount per/person on reservations made by March 31, 2023! * 3B, 3L, 3D

** $1,145 per/person, double occ * $1,065 p/p, triple occ * $1,025 p/p, quad * $1,385 single
