Talk about bad timing. On the same day news broke about Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam spending $875 million to buy 25% ownership in the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, the Browns informed season ticket holders of a ticket price increase for the 2023 season.

A news release from the team noted the following:

• Browns fans may purchase season tickets from a variety of accessible price points starting as low as $60 per game, which marks only a $5 increase compared to 2022.

*Approximately 40% of the entire stadium will increase by only $5 per game while roughly 70% is being adjusted by $10 or less per game.

• Nearly 50% of non-club and non-premium locations will change by $5 per game, including 86% of the upper bowl, while nearly 80% of non-premium seats will change by $10 or less per game.

“Our continual focus is to provide affordable seating options and multiple payment plans that meet every Browns fan’s individual needs,” the Haslam Sports Group said in a statement. “For the 2023 season, fans will see an enhanced commitment to our gameday experience through new innovations in food and beverage amenities, club spaces,

field level seating and merchandise.

“In addition, our season ticket members will experience more exclusive member benefits throughout the year, including unique events, gifting and gameday discounts. We are excited to take on the challenge of creating the best fan experience in the NFL at a ticket price that falls below the average of our peers throughout the league. After extensive pricing analytics throughout each seating section at FirstEnergy Stadium, we were encouraged to be able to retain that distinction for the best fans in the NFL.”

The Browns will host nine regular season games in 2023. Their opponents will be the Bengals, Ravens, Steelers, Jaguars, Jets, Titans, 49ers, Bears and Cardinals. The schedule will be announced in May.

Fans can visit the team’s website at clevelandbrowns. com, Browns Mobile App or call 440-824-3434 for more information on placing wait list deposits for upcoming seasons. An announcement of when single-game tickets will go on sale will be announced at a later date.
