Bessie Chervon (Burke), a beloved and compassion­ate wife, mother, and caretaker, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born on September 9, 1934, in Brownsvill­e, PA, to the late James and Mary Burke.

Bessie dedicated her life to her family, wholeheart­edly fulfilling her role as a homemaker. With unwavering love and devotion, she created a warm and nurturing home for her loved ones. Her selfless nature and tireless efforts in caring for her family will forever be remembered and cherished. In addition to her role as a caretaker, Bessie was an active member of the American Legion Unit 7 in Wickliffe.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Chervon, sisters Dorothy McManus and Ardella Smith. Bessie also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends who were like family and lovingly referred to her as “mom” and “GiGi.”

Bessie was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leonard Chervon, her dear son David Chervon and siblings Annabelle Keefer, Margaret Hunyady, Robert Burke, and Charles Burke.

Friends are invited to join in honoring Bessie’s life at the Funeral Service to be held on October 29, 2023, at 4:00 pm at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1pm to 4pm.

Bessie’s legacy will continue to live on through the memories she created and the love she shared. Her compassion­ate nature and unwavering dedication to her family will forever be cherished by all those fortunate enough to have known her. May her soul find eternal peace.
