WILM. - Patricia A. (Chervenak) Mombro, 84, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Born in Wilmington on February 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Hedwig (Lemanski) Chervenak.

In her early years, Pat was employed in the hospitalit­y industry, with her later career being spent in domestic work for several prominent Delawarean­s, including then Senator (current President) Joe Biden and his wife Jill, and Senator Tom Carper and his wife Martha. A member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Pat generously volunteere­d her time with Meals on Wheels and the A.I. duPont Institute for Children. She loved time at the beach and looked forward to her annual visits with her sister in Florida. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her beloved grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

Pat will be dearly missed by her daughters, Dianna Minella (Albert) and Carla Alessia ( Vince); her grandchild­ren, Adam Jamieson (Tara), Taylor Murphy (Christian), Patrick Murphy, Alexandra Roberts (Elliot), Anthony Alessia ( June) and Gaetano Alessia (Sam); her great grandchild­ren, Michael Coleman, Bruce Jamieson and Jack Jamieson. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen Vaul and Debbie Ganassi ( Joe).

Pat was predecease­d by her son, Anthony Mombro; her sisters, Maryann Hannah, Joanne Fraley, Phyllis Hewett and Bobbie “Ag” Spoerl.

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4th Street and Bancroft Parkway, Wilmington on Tuesday, February 13 from 9:30 – 10:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Interment will be held privately.
