Driving north along the coast on I-95, the beautiful town of Milford is the first to welcome guests to New Haven county. Here, Milford’s 17 miles of sparkling shoreline are to be enjoyed among its sandy beaches, coves and marinas on Long Island Sound and harbor that winds its way to meet the Wepawaug River in the heart of town. When not taking in the seaside lifestyle, Milford also boasts an historic Town Green, the second longest in all New England, creating a vibrant downtown filled with shoppes, restaurants, and festivals.

Located on a private beach, this custom-built home offers the very best in beachfront living, taking in captivating 180-degree water views all day long, and reflecting the moonlight on the waters of Long Island Sound at night.

Custom built in 2007 for the present owners, the contemporary open floor plan offers over 4,500 square feet of easy living and entertaining with a balcony on each floor, hardwood floors throughout and a convenient elevator that services all four levels.

“The wall of windows on each floor allows one to enjoy the ever-changing water views,” said the owner. “Best of all, open the doors to allow the calming sound of the water, especially at night to put one right to sleep. The peace of the moon on the water and stars at night is always delightful and appreciated.”

The main living area features an open living and dining room with gas fireplace and walls of windows with amazing views of the water as it stretches out to the horizon. French doors open to a deck to step out and take in the refreshing salt air and sea breezes.

The living area opens to the gourmet kitchen which is a cook’s delight among handsome glass-fronted cabinetry, double custom stainless-steel appliances, granite counters, huge pantry and an island with breakfast bar.

There is ample space for family and guests among four to five bedrooms, including two master bedroom suites, and four finely appointed baths. One master suite encompasses the entire top floor, creating a private sanctuary for the ultimate escape. Enjoy a sitting area with gas fireplace and French doors to a private mahogany deck and widow’s walk, along with a spa-like bath with steam shower and soaking tub. If that is not enough to melt the stress of the day away, the sauna will certainly do the job.

It is the abundance of water activity afforded by living on the beach living that the owners will miss the most.
