As a child, the owner of this Greenfield Hills retreat always wanted a water slide.

“I always thought how great it would be to have a water slide…not a small one, a real matriding slide,” the owner explained.

Once he set eyes on the custom gunite pool with limestone decking and a commercial-grade twostory waterslide built right into the landscaping, he knew this was the home for his family.

“The pool was something truly special. The second I saw the waterslide down the mountain I fell in love with it.”

A putting green and life-size Scrabble game incorporated right into the landscaping adds even more fun and whimsy.

Set on three-and-one-half private acres, the eight-bedroom home caters to outdoor lovers. The property is completely private, encompassed by 10 acres and borders Brett Woods, a 186acre public space full of marked trails, lakes, and rivers.

“The house is like my own private getaway,” said the owner. “My family and I had amazing experiences walking through Brett Woods which is an amazing wooded treasure.”

The property is also part of the Stonybrook Association where residents enjoy many outdoor amenities.

“We love the house and grounds, but the outside is just as special,” the owner added. “Being part of the exclusive 40-family association that shares a private lake and beach, tennis, basketball and playground was the extra French fries on the bottom of the bag!”

“This ‘Lifestyle home’ is one to be lived in and enjoyed,” says listing agent Danielle Rownin. With 8,572-square feet, and eight bedrooms, there is ample space for comfortable living, entertaining, recreation and leisure.

The first floor features a formal dining room, living room with fireplace, and family room with fireplace, tray ceiling and French doors to the patio with generous areas for grilling and al fresco dining. The bright and open kitchen features marble counters, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, two breakfast bars plus a sunny breakfast room. Designed for easy entertaining, there are two butler’s pantries, one between the living and family rooms, the other servicing the kitchen and dining room. A beautifully paneled first-floor office with fireplace offers privacy from the main living areas.

There are a total of eight bedrooms in the main house, five are en suite on the second level, three are on the third level which also includes another full bath and an expansive media room. There is also a second bonus room that spans from the front to the back of the home and lends itself to additional entertaining or leisure space such as a playroom, game room or home theater.

The basement is partially finished with the bonus of an indoor archery range to release your inner Robin Hood or Katniss Everdeen.

“With so much space, the house afforded me the luxury to be creative in its use,” said the owner, whose favorite space in the home is the art room. “It is complete with everything young and old can think of to make amazing masterpieces … from paints, to ceramics, to a 3-D printer and slime stations, it’s a creation paradise.”

The pool and spa area are flanked by a two-story 1,740square-foot pool house with floorto-ceiling sliders that open to the cabana room, his and her locker rooms, each with a set of lockers and full bath, and a laundry room. On the upper level is a Great room which can also be used a guest room, and a deck.
