A vote for Roy and Tester

-

On the first Tuesday in November, Roxbury voters will be asked to elect new leadership, after having benefited by the sure hand of First Selectwoman Barbara Henry for more than 20 years. With Barbara’s decision to step down, the ideal candidates to lead Roxbury are Patrick Roy, running for first selectman, and his running mate Kim Tester for selectwoman.

Patrick and Kim care deeply about Roxbury, exhibited by their wide-ranging involvement in the community and their extensive and longstanding volunteer service on town boards and commissions. Patrick has served on the Board of Finance since 2019, knowing a hyper focus on every single line of the budget is critical to keeping Roxbury’s mill rate one of the lowest in the state. He chairs the Farms Committee for the Roxbury Land Trust and is an active member of Christ Church. Kim has served on the Planning Commission and is currently vice chair of the Zoning Commission — boards key to maintaining Roxbury’s heritage while recognizing change must be accommodated.

Patrick and Kim are keen to maintain our town’s rural character and financial stability, and they will look to enhance Roxbury’s quality of life, focusing on speeding traffic and crime that have of late crept in. They will expand and enhance strong and transparent communication with town employees and all residents. Please join me in voting Nov. 2 for Patrick Roy and Kim Tester.
