GAMES TO WATCH

Wethersfie­ld at Berlin, Monday, 6:45: Wethersfie­ld may have the best chance to knock Berlin from atop the CCC standings, though it is riding a twogame losing streak entering the week.

Hillhouse at Sheehan, Monday, 7 p.m.: Hillhouse won the first matchup 51-50 but now the game moves to the Titans home floor. Sheehan already got revenge on Hand for its only other SCC loss.

Sacred Heart Academy at Hamden, Wednesday, 7 p.m.: Sacred Heart’s first loss of the season came against Hamden. The Sharks have won four games in-a-row, all by double digits, while the Dragons have dropped two straight.

Bacon Academy at New London, Thursday, 7 p.m.: Both teams have one loss in the ECC, both to NFA. This one looms large in the conference standings.

Staples at Stamford, Thursday, 7 p.m.: No. 3 Staples is atop the FCIAC standings with one loss in the league, Stamford is among four teams with two league losses, chasing the Wreckers.

Danbury at Norwalk, Thursday, 7 p.m.: Speaking of FCIAC teams with two losses in the league standings, both the Hatters and Bears will need this one to secure a top four seed in the tournament.

Bullard Haven at Abbott Tech, Friday, 6 p.m.: Abbott Tech has won seven in-a-row since dropping its only game of the season 53-42 to Bullard Havens. Each team has only one CTC loss and the winner of this, likely wins regular-season title.

Southingto­n at Glastonbur­y, Friday,

6:45 p.m.: Two of the hottest teams in the state. Southingto­n has won 11 of 12 while Glastonbur­y has won 12 of its last

13 with the only loss coming at the hands of No. 2 NFA.

Weston at Pomperaug, Friday, 7 p.m.: Big SWC matchup as Weston fights for a league playoff spot while Pomperaug keeps hopes of a top-four seed alive with a win.

Cromwell at Newington, Saturday, 10:30 a.m.: Breakfast and basketball as Cromwell takes on its third out-of-conference ranked team with a trip to No. 5 Newington.

FINE PERFORMANC­ES

Jayden Burns, New London: The junior guard scored 21 points in No. 6 New London’s out-of-conference win over Cromwell, 66-60.

Ariana Rivas, Innovation: Rivas put up a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds in a 42-33 win over Terryville.

Cassi Barbato, Trumbull: The junior scored a game-high 27 points as Trumbull defeated Westhill 67-51.

Tristin Oberg, Windsor Locks: Oberg had 12 points and 15 rebounds in her double-double effort during a 43-35 victory against Bolton.

Maya Slisz, New Britain: Slisz scored a game-high 18 points as New Britain upset No. 6 Wethersfie­ld 56-50.

Natasha Rivera, Ansonia: Rivera had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in a 54-48 win over Crosby.

Janessa Gonzalez, St. Paul: Gonzalez helped St.Paul to a 58-40 win over Oxford with her 26 points and 6 steals.

Kaysie Dupuis, Parish Hill: Dupuis scored 24 points, leading Parish Hill over Aerospace 53-33, for its 11th straight win.

Brianna LeBrun, Northwest Catholic:

The sophomore piled up 18 points and

18 rebounds for the double-double in a

61-52 win over Conard.

Lauren Keel, East Windsor: Keel scored 22 points in an overtime win against Valley Regional, 45-41.
