Thomas Lowe Pritchard, 86, of Ridgefield, husband of Mary Laura (Coughlin) Pritchard, died on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at his home.

Affectiona­tely known by Tom, he was born in Wilmette, Illinois, January 16, 1934, the son of Norman and Marie Louise (Lowe) Pritchard. He attended Wilmette schools and graduated from Princeton University with a Class of 1955 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and upon his Honorable Discharge joined IBM in their sales division; a career that spanned thirty-five years.

A resident of Ridgefield since 1973 coming from Wayne, Pennsylvan­ia, Mr. Pritchard was a former Ridgefield Little League Baseball coach, served as a board member of the Lounsbury House, chairman of the Ridgefield Parking Authority and a member of the Ridgefield Men’s Club. Mr. Pritchard was also volunteeri­ng in keeping a designated part of the public roadway free of debris. The “Keep America Beautiful!” project.

He attended St. Elizabeth Seton Church.

In addition to his wife Mary Laura of sixty years, Mr. Pritchard is survived by a son, James Pritchard of Allentown,

PA; a daughter, Kathryn Berger and her husband James of Manhattan, NY and two grandchild­ren, Collin Berger and his wife Clarissa and Miranda Berger.

Mr. Pritchard was predecease­d by a son, Thomas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 520 Ridgebury Rd., Ridgefield at a day and time will be announced when gatherings are once permitted.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield. There will be no calling hours. Contributi­ons in Mr. Pritchard’s memory may be made to Founders Hall or to St. Elizabeth Seton Church
