Kerri Columbo knows Bethel

-

Lately, every election has felt like the most important election in our lifetime. This election is no exception. That’s why I devote so much time to volunteering and working to get people to the polls.

As I talk to Bethel voters who are part of the 107th State House district, there’s one comment I hear over and over: “I thought Raghib Allie-Brennan was my Representative.”

Raghib works hard for the 2nd district, which includes the larger part of Bethel. He’s a vocal advocate for all his constituents and makes sure everyone has a voice.

Stephen Harding represents the Stony Hill section of Bethel, which includes more than 4,600 voters. Yet so many of them are unaware that Steve is their representative.

In 2018, Steve Harding ran on being “the hometown candidate.” He grew up in Brookfield. Using that slogan was not only off-putting to those who knew that he was our representative, but it also sent a message: “I don’t need to serve Bethel voters and I don’t need Bethel voters to win, either.”

Kerri Colombo lived in Bethel for seven years before moving to Brookfield. When you talk to her, you can hear that she knows Bethel, not just Brookfield. She values our residents. She is reaching out to voters in all three towns in the 107th.

Does your State Representative actually represent you? If they don’t know you’re there, I’d say the chances aren’t good. Vote for Kerri Colombo for the 107th House District seat and have your voice heard.
