⏩ BLUMENTHAL, TONG TO HOST TOWN HALL

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., and William Tong, Connecticu­t’s attorney general, will address issues affecting the country at a virtual town hall on Sunday.

The Democratic Town Committees of Southbury and Woodbury are hosting the event on Zoom from 4 to 5 p.m.

Blumenthal and Tong are expected to address health care, the Supreme Court confirmati­on process and other topics suggested by attendees. Follow-up questions in the Zoom chat window will be addressed if time permits.

Vanita Bhalla, who represents the 32nd District on the Democratic State Central Committee, will moderate.

Democrats running for the state legislatur­e will give brief introducti­ons. These candidates include Jeff Desmarais, seeking the 32nd District State Senate seat, Matt Dyer, vying for the 66th House District and Michele Zommer, running for the 69th House District.
