Robert Marks Walter entered into the eternal rest of his Lord and Savior on Feb. 4, 2021 after a year long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Robert and his twin brother Jim were born in Bridgeport, CT on October 19, 1955. After attending Ridgefield High School Robert headed to Miami University of Oxford, Ohio to major in Geology. Upon graduating he moved to Midland, TX to work in the oil business. It was there that he met his future wife, Vilia. They were married on June 28, 1980.

Sensing a call to ministry, the couple moved to Pasadena, CA where Robert attended Fuller Theologica­l Seminary. Returning to Midland, he pastored Our Savior’s Lutheran Church for 15 years. Moving to Chesapeake, VA and embarking on a third career in 2007, Robert joined LeaderSour­ce as a passionate trainer and master teacher who connected strongly with leaders and students from many nations.

Robert is survived by his wife Vilia, parents Richard and Shirley Walter, siblings Charles, James, Claire, Mark, Amy and Paul along with their respective spouses. He is also survived by aunts Claire and Linda (godmother) uncle John, many cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of spiritual sons and daughters worldwide.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27th at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Immanuel Lutheran Church, 18 Clapboard Ridge Rd., Danbury, CT.
