Giving Day is vital
It’s that time of year again! The opportunity to give back to those who need it most during Fairfield County’s Community Foundation’s annual Giving Day on Feb. 25 is fast approaching. As the health and humanitarian crisis persists, supporting our local nonprofits on Giving Day is essential to ensuring hundreds of local agencies throughout Fairfield County can keep their doors open and continue to provide vital services to those in need.
At Bank of America, we work to drive responsible growth and provide resources to advance economic mobility, like the tools to help people become more financially resilient and meet basic needs. We encourage everyone to join us on Feb. 25 to make this the most successful Giving Day yet. As board member of The Center for Family Justice & The Adam J Lewis Academy, it’s inspiring to witness how our nonprofits provide the tools to uplift our communities.
You can choose an organization to support from a list of over 400 participating nonprofits throughout the county, including youth organizations, family centers, food pantries, and shelters who all provide critical support to our neighbors disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus. Your gifts will also contribute to revitalizing our communities through housing and workforce development initiatives, as well as arts and cultural programs.
Donating is fast and simple through fcgives.org, and I encourage everyone to take part. Your contribution allows our nonprofits to continue doing vital work for our communities. The giving period lasts for 24 hours, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 25. Join us in giving back!
