Rosemarie D. Roy
Apr. 7, 1948 - Apr. 1, 2021.
Rosemarie D. Roy known by her family and friends as “Ro Lipari” entered into eternal rest, with Jesus, on Thursday, April
1, 2021. Her deep Christian faith gave her strength as she combated chronic heart failure.
Born on April 7, 1948 in Easton, PA, Ro was one of the six children of Paul and Grace Lipari. She graduated from St. Anthony’s Parochial School and Notre Dame High School in
1966. She treasured her high school friendships and loved reconnecting at numerous reunions over the years.
She earned a B.S. in Education and French from Kutztown University, studied abroad in Quebec and earned her Master’s degree from WCSU. She married William Roy, and for many years they lived in New Milford, CT, raising their two children, Philip and Emily. She developed numerous friendships while involved in organizations such as the Jaycee Women’s Club, and spent her career teaching French and Spanish. Most recently she lived in Southbury, CT, closer to her daughter and her family. She loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren, Brady and Nina, and being the best “Nana” she could be, cooking, reading and just spending time with them.
Ro was predeceased by her beloved parents and brother Johnny. She leaves behind her amazing daughter Emily Fritz and husband Glenn, their children Brady and Nina of Southbury, CT, her son Philip and wife Kim, their children Tyler, Lindsay and Justin of Lafayette, CO. She is survived by her siblings
Russell Lipari and wife Ann of Easton, PA, Paul Lipari and wife Marianne of Nashua, NH. Santa Wright and husband Donald of Easton, PA, and Barbara Harris and husband Mark of Clayton, CA, along with 13 nieces and nephews, their children, and a large extended family including Marion Matase and her family. She had great relationships with many of Emily’s friends, and all will miss her immensely. These relationships enriched Ro’s life and were a source of joy through the years. A tout a l’heure Rosie!
