Theresa D. Gaudenzi

Theresa D. Gaudenzi of New Milford, CT, passed away at her home Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the age of 87.

She was born June 1, 1934 in Mt. Vernon, NY, the daughter of the late Howard and Margaret (Roos) Brown. She lived in Bronx, NY for many years and in Naugatuck, CT before moving to New Milford in 1962. Theresa was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church where she was a greeter at masses and a member of the Sisters of Charity. She volunteered at Candlewood Valley Nursing Home as well as Loaves and Fishes in New Milford. Theresa enjoyed gardening and had a passion for painting, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband Nelson J. Gaudenzi who passed away November 22, 2005. They had been married for fifty years. She is survived by her sons Gary Gaudenzi (Lori) of Stafford Springs, CT, Michael Gaudenzi of New Milford, CT, Daniel Gaudenzi (Brenda) of South Kingstown, RI; daughters Linda Santini (Gary) of New Milford, CT, Lori Kopp (Harry) of Toms River, NJ; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, her sister Laurie Pruchnicki and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Howard Brown and sister Margaret Fenn.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford, followed by the private interment in St. Francis Cemetery in New Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Theresa can be made to Diebold Cancer Center, 21 Elm St., New Milford, CT 06776.
