Ty Staples-Santos, Kolbe Cathedral: Scored 31 points to help Kolbe Cathedral defeat Harding 81-27.

Riley Fox, Conard: Sophomore scored a career-high 30 points in the 75-40 victory over Berlin.

Fredo Delgado, Wilbur Cross: Scored 32 points to help Wilbur Cross come from behind to defeat Northwest Catholic 72-68.

Hudson Geremia, Hand: Three-point shot at the buzzer lifted Hand past Greenwich 47-44.

Jake Palluzzi, Branford: Had 40 points in a 61-54 victory over Foran, had 28 points in a 61-57 victory over Pomperaug and 27 points in a 61-43 win over North Haven.

Carlos Madera, Abbott Tech: Scored 30 points in Abbott Tech’s 83-49 victory over New Fairfield.

Donovan Clingan, Bristol Central: Nearly had a triple-double (29 points, 18 rebounds, seven blocks) in Bristol Central’s 74-59 win over East Catholic.

Jonathan Rivera, Crosby: Rivera’s 31 points helped Crosby beat Holy Cross 79-56.

Jeyson Slade, Westhill: His 3-point shot at the buzzer lifted Westhill over Barlow 59-56.

OF NOTE

Donovan Clingan set the Bristol Central all-time rebounding record on Dec. 20 against East Catholic. He passed his mother’s record of 1,032. Stacey Porrini Clingan died of breast cancer in 2018.

GAMES TO WATCH

Hillhouse at New London, Thursday, 5 p.m.: First matchup in over a decade between two of the state’s premier programs. Hillhouse won that last matchup on Dec. 17, 2010, over preseason No. 1 New London, led by Kris Dunn.

Naugatuck at Crosby, Thursday, 7 p.m.: With Sacred Heart no longer around, these are two teams that are definite contenders for this season’s NVL championsh­ip.
