Peter P. Pacific Jr. of Woodbourne. New York, passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2022.

Left to cherish his memory are his beautiful wife and soul mate, Maria; his parents, Peter Sr. and Jan, of Windsor South Carolina/Lebanon Connecticut; his brother, Jon; and Jon’s children, Logan, Liam, and Lucy of Washington CT; his father-in-law, Pantelis Petrou; mother-in-law, Demetra Petrou; and brother-in-law, Richard Petrou of Woodbourne, NY; and a large extended family on the Pacific, Clarkson, and Read sides, with many uncles, aunts, cousins and many close friends who were like family to him.

Peter was born on June 2, 1973 in Bethel, CT. He attended St. Mary grammar school and Bethel High School, in addition to attending St. Leo College in St. Leo, Florida, Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona; graduating in 1996 with a degree in Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. He began a brief career in Phoenix, AZ, as a travel agent and returned east to New York City to pursue a very successful career in commercial real estate. After several years in the real estate business and after he met his true love, Maria, he changed careers again to begin another successful career in fitting orthotics for disabled and elderly people. Recently, he began another career with Resorts World Catskills in the area of surveillance and security.

As with all engaging personalities, Peter could sell ice to the Eskimos. His quick wit and friendly disposition would light up a room wherever he went. All who knew Peter wanted to see or be seen with him. Peter understood the value of family and grew up surrounded by his brother, cousins, aunts and uncles on Bethel’s version of the Ponderosa, forging special bonds with his cousins that would carry on with his nieces and nephews, as both a friend and mentor later in life

Peter was an avid sports fan and could be seen watching a Celtics or Giants Football game on TV with Maria and their dogs, Petie, Poncho and Paula by his side, or catching his nephews sports games in Connecticut.

The unexpected loss of Peter has left a void in many hearts. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:30. The Celebration will be at St. Mary Church Bethel, CT, with a reception to follow at the Reads’ residence at 1143 George’s Hill Road, Southbury CT.
