Frontier adds non-stop Las Vegas route
Officials with the Connecticut Airport Authority are expecting a busy summer in terms of passengers coming through Bradley International Airport and starting in August, travelers will have a new destination that they can fly to non-stop.
Denver-based Frontier Airlines will be launching new nonstop service from Bradley to Las Vegas’s McCarran International Airport, Authority officials said Tuesday. The airline currently serves seven non-stop destinations from Bradley.
There are current non-stop flights to 42 destinations from Bradley, according to Authority officials. JetBlue already flies non-stop from Bradley to Las Vegas and Breeze Airways is scheduled to add direct service there in September.
Despite inflation driving up the price of air fares, Bradley could see more than 10,000 passengers take off daily this summer, said Alisa Sisic, a spokeswoman for the Authority. Now through Labor Day, the CAA anticipates passenger volumes to mirror and possibly exceed those of 2019, according to Sisic.
“While a busy summer is in the forecast, we are ready and prepared to welcome travelers to Bradley International Airport,” said Kevin Dillon, executive director of the Authority. “We are also particularly thrilled to begin the season with a strengthened partnership with Frontier Airlines and news of their new nonstop service to Las Vegas.”
Will Evans, senior manager sales and distribution, for Frontier Airlines said the carrier now offers “an array of flight options from Hartford to a variety of outstanding destinations, including Puerto Rico and Cancun, Mexico.”
