John “Jack” McLaughlin

John “Jack” McLaughlin, the husband of Loretta McLaughlin, age 87 passed away on June 21, 2022. He was born in Danbury to the late William and Matilda (Steinfeld) McLaughlin on August 27, 1934. Jack served four years in the United States Navy and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Jack worked 19 years for Branson Sonic. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and worked for the City of Danbury for 10 years, also working various parttime jobs thereafter.

Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid sports fan, watching all types of sporting events on TV. In addition to his loving wife of 62 years, he will be sadly missed by his daughter Cathy McLaughlin. He is predecease­d by his daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Randy Miller, and survived by his sibling, James McLaughlin.

Jack is also survived by his sisters-in-law Judy Kubisek, Janet (Bill) Reynolds and brother-in-law Dennis Kubisek, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his buddy and close friend Gordy Hull.

In addition to his parents, John was predecease­d in death by in-laws Paul and Myrtle Kubisek, brother Ronald (Dorothy) McLaughlin, sister-in-law Marilyn McLaughlin, brother-inlaws Bernard, Raymond, and Thomas Kubisek.

Calling hours for John will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, CT. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., 57 Main St., Danbury, CT. Burial will immediatel­y follow at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury, CT.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury.
