Toastmasters Club holds virtual open house

The Barnum Square Toastmasters Club is inviting the public to attend its virtual open house.

Attendees will meet members and the keynote speaker, Patti Walter, program director for District 53 of Toastmasters International. Walter will share the importance of communication skills for today’s professionals.

The Open House will be held via Zoom from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23.

After Walter’s presentation, members and guests will take part in a regular Toastmasters meeting, including hearing a prepared speech by club President Gene Pallastro. All are welcome to participate in making impromptu speeches and more.

The group, which meets at noon Tuesdays via Zoom, is accepting new members who want to learn how be more effective communicators in a friendly environment.
