Assault – DV: At approximately 6:46 a.m., AST received a report of a possible assault in the Norton Sound Region. Investigation revealed no assault occurred between the people involved.

Warrant Arrest: At approximately 10:38 a.m., AST contacted and arrested a juvenile individual for an outstanding no bail warrant in St. Michael. The individual was turned over to DJJ.

Assist Agency: At approximately 10:54 a.m., AST served Federal Subpoenas.

Miscellaneous: At approximately 11:11 a.m., AST patrolled the village of Stebbins.
Brevig Mission
Patrol Request: At approximately 11:42 a.m., AST patrolled the village of Brevig Mission.
Elim
Miscellaneous: At approximately 1:20 p.m., AST patrolled the village of Elim.
Koyuk
Disturbance: At approximately 5:28 p.m., AST received a report of a disturbance involving potential DV assaults. AST contacted all parties and determined no crime was committed.
Nome
Assist Agency: At approximately 8:43 p.m., AST received a report of a possible lead in an investigation. AST responded.
Saint Michael
Welfare Check: At approximately 9:00 p.m., AST received a request to perform a welfare check. The juvenile appeared to be under the influence of alcohol when contacted by AST. AST transported the individual back to Stebbins and into her parent’s custody.

Sexual Assault: At approximately 3:30 p.m., VPO's received a report of a sexual assault in the Norton Sound region and contacted AST to assist. Investigation ongoing. Nome
Burglary: At approximately 3:30 p.m., AST received a report that two seasonal cabins located near mile 53 Kougarok Road had been burglarized and multiple firearms stolen. Brevig Mission; Search and Rescue: On 9/5/2020 at approximately 1839 hours, AST received a report of an SOS activation from a device. The individual’s emergency contacts were identified. Liquor law: At approximately 10:20 p.m., AST received a report regarding individuals bringing alcohol and narcotics into the village of Teller. The complainant was willing to assist AST. Investigation ongoing.

Missing Person: At approximately 8:44 p.m. AST received a report of individuals that went on a hunting trip and one of the individuals did not return. The missing hunter was found deceased. His body was recovered and his family was notified.

Assist Medical: At approximately 12:39 a.m., AST received a report from a VPSO regarding a juvenile who was threatening self-harm in Golovin. BHS conducted an interview, and the juvenile was released to parents with a safety plan. Gambell
Disturbance: At approximately 1:41 a.m., AST received a report from an individual regarding a potential theft in Gambell. Upon being advised that he was safe and that he could return home for the evening, the individual began to create a disturbance. AST followed up with the individual. Brevig Mission

Missing Person: At approximately 8:19 p.m., AST received an SOS activation from device with no message attached to the signal near Unalakleet. Emergency contacts were identified. Investigation revealed it was an accidental activation.

Destruction/Damage/Vandalism: At approximately 3:32 a.m., VPSO received a report from a complainant that her boyfriend was drinking and driving. He also broke some items in her residence. Investigation ongoing. Stebbins
Disturbance: At approximately 12:46 a.m., AST received a report of a possible assault in the Bering Strait Region. Investigation is ongoing. AST contacted and interviewed both involved parties. Neither had visible injuries, and both parties denied any assault occurred. Nome
Suspicious Circumstances: At approximately 11:10 a.m., AST received a report from a concerned parent that her daughter was in a long-distance relationship with a male outside of the Norton Sound Region. Nome
Sex Offender Registration: At approximately 10:25 a.m., AST assisted an individual with their Sex Offender Registration. Brevig Mission
Patrol Request: At about 11:50 a.m., AST patrolled the community of Brevig Mission. Unalakleet
Assist Agency: At approximately 1:02 p.m., AST responded to assist Unalakleet PD in tracking down a stolen ATV and boat. The ATV was recovered, however; the boat is still missing.

Theft – Vehicle: At approximately 6:13 p.m., AST received a report from the Unalakleet Police Department regarding a complainant that called the UPD saying some individuals took his boat without permission, and that they were drinking. Investigation ongoing. Unalakleet
Theft – Vehicle: At approximately 11:02 p.,m., AST received a report from the Unalakleet PD saying that someone had stolen a four-wheeler. It’s a Honda 500 Green with a windshield, and a rack in the front, and back. Teller
Welfare check: At approximately 11:05 p.m., AST received a report from a complainant in the Nome Census Area stating that one of their former students was posting on Facebook that they wanted to commit self-harm. VPSOs will check on the individual. Investigation ongoing.

Theft, vehicle: At approximately 8:25 p.m., AST received a report stating that someone had stolen his ATV within the last 24 hours in Brevig Mission. No suspects or leads. Investigation ongoing. Stebbins

Assault – DV: At approximately 7:27 p.m., VPSOs in Shishmaref reported to AST a possible DV related assault. AST responded, and the incident non-criminal. Nome
Assist Public: At approximately 11:33 p.m., Nome PD reported to AST overdue motorists from Pilgrim Hot Springs. The group of six motorists called shortly after and reported they were okay.

Assault – DV: At approximately 1:34 a.m., VPSO requests AST with assistance with DV call. Allison Nayokpuk, 30, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault in the fourth degree. Unalakleet
Agency Assist: At approximately 8:29 p.m., Unalakleet Police Department received an anonymous call reporting two possible DUI's. Upon investigation Tori Johnson, 26, and Talaluk Katchatag, 30, were arrested for DUI.

Lost/Found Property: At approximately 2:28 p.m., AST received a report of a lost gun, which is a 30 carbine. If found, individuals are encouraged to report the firearm to AST. Unalakleet
Welfare Check: At approximately 7:58 p.m., AST received a report from the Unalakleet Police Department that a complainant was requesting a welfare check on an individual.

Assist Agency: At approximately 1:19 a.m., AST received a request to assist Unalakleet Police Department with an assault and a warrant. Vincent Eakon, 44, was arrested following this incident. Brevig Mission
Disturbance: At about 10:40 a.m., AST received a report of a disturbance in the Norton Sound Region. White Mountain
Warrant Arrest: At approximately 4:12 p.m., Julius Ione, 22, of White Mountain, was arrested on a $1,500 felony warrant for two counts of Burglary first degree and two counts of Theft fourth degree. Ione was transported to AMCC in Nome where he is held, pending arraignment. White Mountain
Warrant Arrest: At approximately 4:29 p.m., Clyde Douglas, 20, of White Mountain, was arrested on a $1,500 felony warrant for two counts of Burglary first degree and two counts of Theft fourth degree. Douglas was transported to AMCC in Nome where he is held on no bail, pending arraignment. Unalakleet
