Lottery: Same numbers show up in Play3 for 4th time this month

For the fourth time this month, a same single-digit number in sequence came up on a Play 3 Connecticut Lottery game.

The numbers 7-7-7 were drawn in Tuesday’s Play 3 day drawing.

CT Lottery says a total of 2,650 winning wagers were sold for that Play3 Day drawing. After all winning claims are presented, a total of $1,060,425 in prize money will be paid out.

The number 7-7-7 has been drawn a total of four times since the Play3 Day game began. It was last picked during the day on Dec. 17, 2011 when it paid out $ 1,211,900 in prize money on 3,052 winning wagers.

“So far, September has been a stellar month for those who enjoy playing the same single-digit number in sequence,” posted on its web site.

The four drawings with same single-digit numbers were:

Play3 Night (Sept. 1)

Winning Number: 9-9-9 Prize Payouts: $912,100

Play3 Day (Sept. 2)

Winning Number: 9-9-9 Prize Payouts: $649,900

Play3 Night (Sept. 9)

Winning Number: 0-0-0 Prize Payouts: $513,075

Play3 Day (Sept. 18)

Winning Number: 7-7-7 Prize Payouts:

$ 1,060,425

Because Play3 Day prize payouts are based upon the amount wagered, players with a winning number match can expect to win from $25 up to $2,500 per wager in prize money.
