Mary Louise Brittenum Mellow, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 12, 2021 at home surrounded by family in Bridgeport, CT. She was employed by the Norwalk Board of Education for 43 years. Joanne DeSando Girardo, age 87 of Niagara Falls, NY, died peacefully at her home on Monday, March 8. She was the loving wife of the late Nicholas A. Girardo. Joanne was born on July 5, 1933 in Nicastro, Italy, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Angela (Gallo) DeSando and was a longtime resident of Norwalk, CT. She was a seamstress by trade. Joanne enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include four loving children and spouses: Concetta M. Libertino (Joe) of Norwalk, CT, Angela E. Lopez (Juan) of Niagara Falls, NY, Anthony P. Girardo (Maureen)Minooka, IL, and Joseph S. Girardo (Elann) of Niagara Falls, Canada, six grandchild­ren, Gabrielle and Gianna Lopez, Rosa DeMatteo (Greg), Pasquale Libertino (Kim), Antonella Soumelidis (Nick) and Isabella Girardo, six great-grandchild­ren, Annabella and Melania DeMatteo, Michael, Sofia, and Zoe Soumelidis, Olivia Libertino, Lily, Myles and Zoey Wolkowski, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Pl. Norwalk, CT on Monday, March 22, at 10 a.m., with entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery.

Lee formerly of Norwalk passed away on February 11th in White plains Hospital in Westcheste­r, NY.

Born on September 14, 1951 in Stamford, CT to James and Marion Royle.
