Robert Francis “Bob” McAndrew, age 95 of Norwalk, died peacefully at his home on March 31, 2021. He was the loving husband of Jeanne Brown McAndrew. Bob was born in Lost Nation, Iowa on December 17, 1925, and was the son of the late Philip E. and Jane (McGonegle) McAndrew. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served his country in WW II and the Korean War. He worked for Pfizer Pharmaceut­ical, the Veteran’s Employment Agency for the State of CT and was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a graduate of St. Ambrose University.

In retirement he focused his volunteer time to help those in need and he was active in Life Time Learners, completed a course in creative writing, and was a voracious reader in his quest for ever more knowledge.

In addition to his wife Bob is survived by his children Michael McAndrew (Elizabeth), Raymond McAndrew, Mary Beth Procaccini (Robert), Jean Marie McAndrew, Monica McAndrew (David Chute) and Christophe­r McAndrew (Christine). Eleven grandchild­ren, five great grandchild­ren, in-laws, Vi BrownLuebk­e, Janet Rohm, Vic Brown (Marlene), Joyce VanWychen, Kenneth (Bud)Brown (Nancy),

Bill Brown (Sally) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was also predecease­d by his first wife, Patricia Bremhorst McAndrew, his children Rose Ann and Patrick, his siblings,

Ursula, Philip, Jr.(Ann), Clem (Loretta), Ray, Marie Hughes(Dick), Rosalie Tiedje (Al), Mary Hart (Jack), Paul, John (Therese) and in-laws, Kenneth (Ethel) Brown, brothers-in-law, Sheldon Brown and Glen Rohm.

A memorial mass will be celebrated for Bob at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Pl., Norwalk on April 17,2021 at 10 a.m.
