Jeanette McCallum McGuinness, 94, of Norwalk died on Sunday, November 21, 2021. She was born Jeanette LeBlanc in Stafford Springs, Connecticu­t, on August 1, 1927, the daughter of Sylvester and Emma Landry LeBlanc.

Jeanette was raised in Mount Vernon, New York, where she graduated from A. B. Davis High School. After marrying in 1949, Jeanette and Douglas McCallum, Jr., moved in 1951 to a brand new home on Eagle Road in Norwalk, Connecticu­t where they raised their six children and where she would live until 2018. Widowed in 1995, Jeanette married Edward McGuinness in 2000; they were together until his death in 2015. An avid seamstress and quilter for many years, Jeanette was an early member of Goodwives Quilters, joining in 1975 and producing numerous heirloom quilts for family and friends. In addition, she was a prolific knitter, making many prayer shawls for cancer patients and neck warmers for family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r for whom her family and her Catholic faith were her world. She was a devout member of Saint Matthew Church in Norwalk. In 2018, she sold her beloved Eagle Road home and moved to The Marvin on Gregory Boulevard in Norwalk where she lived her remaining years.

Jeanette is survived by her six children, Margaret Carlson and her husband Edwin, Douglas McCallum, 3rd and his wife Candice, Mary Beth Isaacs and her husband Ed, Russell McCallum, Robert McCallum and his wife Diane and Michael McCallum. She is also survived by ten grandchild­ren, Andrew Carlson, Laura Carlson Czegledi, Joseph McCallum, Kathryn McCallum Monticchio, Daniel McCallum, Emily Isaacs, Christophe­r Isaacs, Taylor Tomas, Bridget McCallum and Gavin McCallum and eight great-grandchild­ren, Dylan Carlson, Morgan Carlson, Michael Czegledi, Ryan Czegledi, Steven McCallum, Giavonna Monticchio, Daniel McCallum and Jake McCallum, three stepdaught­ers, Tracey Terenzi, Robin McGuinness and Karen Caiati and two brothers, Theodore LeBlanc and Roland White. In addition to her parents, and her husbands, she was predecease­d by a brother, Roger White.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew Church on Saturday, December 4th at 10:00 a.m. and live-streamed at http://stmatthewn­orwalk. org, followed by interment at St. John’s Cemetery.
