New Canaan resident joins nonprofit Future 5’s Board of Directors
STAMFORD — Judith Corprew, executive vice president, and chief compliance and risk officer of the Patriot Bank, N.A., has joined the Future 5 Board of Directors.
“Future 5 is thrilled to have Judith join our Board of Directors,” said Christopher D. Wright, chair of Future 5 and a New Canaan resident. “Her sagacious perspective and direct experience not only provide a solid role model for our student members, but also gives the Board unique and clear counsel.”
Corprew joined the Patriot team in 2015, and today serves as chair of the Stamford-based bank’s compliance and enterprise risk management, as well as a member of the audit, steering and CRA management committees.
With three decades of credit and risk management experience, she has held leadership positions at financial institutions throughout New England.
“It is a privilege to serve as a member of the Future 5 Board, to support a program that encourages each participant to believe in their own self-worth, become a proponent of change and persevere obstacles,” said Corprew, who earned her bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey, and a graduate degree from Post University in Waterbury.
A staunch advocate for teaching financial literacy skills, Corprew leads educational financial seminars and workshops at local schools, clubs and community organizations. She continues to serve on nonprofit boards including The Helpers Scholarship Foundation, and on the Housatonic Community College Foundation executive board.
Future 5 helps motivated, under-resourced students in Stamford to connect to their full potential, leading to independence, and productive citizenship.
Since its founding in 2009, by its founder, and New Canaan resident Clif McFeely, Future 5 has worked with more than 600 plus, high school, and local community college students, using the “Power of Connection” to strategically connect them to their community, coaches, college, careers, and their own character.
