WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The teams meet Friday in Providence, then head down here. The baby Bruins’ two leading scorers were up with Boston at midweek, but RW Jesper Froden and D Jack Ahcan were among those still in Providence, as was U.S. Olympian Aaron Ness. G Jeremy Swayman was also back in Providence after Tuukka Rask rejoined Boston. Bridgeport had a six-game unbeaten-inregulati­on streak end last weekend in Providence.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Springfiel­d, St. Louis’ affiliate, played Thursday night in Charlotte to complete a two-game trip to North Carolina. Quinnipiac products C Matthew Peca and RW Sam Anas lead the T-birds with 27 and 25 points, respective­ly.

UP NEXT: Bridgeport’s next home game is Feb. 2 vs. Lehigh Valley, scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. school-group game. It’s not home again after that until Feb. 15.
