Nick Smith, Danbury: Smith hit a home run as one of his three hits and 5 RBIs in the Hatters’ 11-0 FCIAC quarterfinal win over St. Joseph.
Zack Broderick, Warde: The senior struck out 12, allowing two hits in the Mustangs’ 4-0 FCIAC quarterfinal victory against Norwalk.
Connor Johnston, Trumbull: Johnston went the distance, striking out 8 and giving up 2 hits, also going 2-for-2 at the plate with a RBI and run scored as the Eagles beat New Canaan 3-0 in the FCIAC quarterfinals.
Cam McGugan, Fitch: The catcher had three hits including a double, scoring three times as Fitch beat Montville 10-2.
Carter Williams, Guilford: Williams delivered a walk-off RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, leading the Grizzlies to a 2-1 win over Notre DameWest Haven.
Michael Belcher, Woodland: The sophomore threw a one-hit shutout as the Hawks defeated Naugatuck 4-0 in the NVL quarterfinals.
Shaun Callahan, Newington: The University of new Haven commit was 3-for-4 with a double and triple with 4 RBIs and 3 stolen bases in the Nor’easters 12-7 victory over Glastonbury.
Ryan Quinn, Middletown: Quinn was 2-for-4 with a 3-run home run as the Dragons beat Simsbury 10-7.
Sean Francoeur, Trumbull: The junior had a completegame shutout with 16 strikeouts and just 1 hit allowed as the Eagles defeated Wilton 7-0.
Ethan Chavez, St. Bernard’s: Chavez pitched a complete game shutout as part of an 11-0 victory over Westbrook.
Jacob Ambrose, Bacon Academy: Ambrose struck out six in a complete-game victory as the Bobcats won over NFA 7-2.
Tyler Hartley, Xavier: The senior pitcher was dominant all night in the Falcons 12-1 win over Amity, pitching 5.1 innings, allowing just two hits and striking out eight.
