Stan Moscinski, age

77, died May 30, 2022 in Aurora, CO. Stan was born in Germany during WWII to Polish parents working as forced laborers and immigrated to Brooklyn, NY as a child. He worked for PepsiCo for 17 years, which provided his family with the incredible opportunity to grow up in Greece and Kenya, an experience that was nothing short of magical. After living internationally, he settled in Norwalk, CT for nearly 30 years before retiring in Aurora, CO, where he served on the HOA and became part of an incredible community in Murphy Creek.

Stan was less one of a kind and more a man of his time, loyal, hard-working, familyoriented and unapologetic about his worldview and values. His glass-half-full optimism helped him beat all recovery odds after experiencing a spinal cord injury and will be part of his enduring legacy. Stan was living history. “Grandpa” marveled at how from playing in bombed out-buildings, he was able to create a healthy family, a community of friends, fabulous memories, and a lovely home and stated he would die a happy man.

He is predeceased by his wife of 37 years, our beloved Mom, Lorraine Moscinski; and is survived by his three daughters, Cheryl Petrishin (husband Jason Petrishin), Shara Moscinska (husband Chris Porosky), Michelle Hayes; and grandchildren, Toni Gossett (husband Matt Jankousky), Grace and Eve Porosky, and Tre, Elie, Roni and Rikki Hayes.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at the Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd Darien, CT Saturday, June 11th from 9am to 12pm. Mass will be held at 1pm at St. John's Catholic Church, 1986 Post Rd Darien. A Graveside Service will be held immediately after at St. John's Cemetery in Norwalk, with a reception to follow.
