BOYS LACROSSE: TOP PERFORMANC­ES FROM CIAC SEMIFINALS AND FINALS

Henry Dodge, Staples: The senior star of championsh­ip Sunday won 15 of 18 faceoffs, gave the Wreckers possession time that they treated like gold, and helped Staples win its first postseason championsh­ip, beating Darien 12-3 in the Class L final.

Michael Wall, Wilton: Amid an offensive onslaught, the junior led the Warriors with seven points, including five assists, as they won their first CIAC championsh­ip since 2013, defeating Notre Dame-West Haven 22-6 in the Class M final.

Rowan Bradshaw-Mack, Weston: The sophomore attackman scored five of his six goals in the first half of the Class S final. They were, coincident­ally, his team’s first five goals. The Trojans went on to defeat Northwest Catholic 16-3.

Tyler Clark, Staples: The junior attackman leaped to the front of the net as time ticked down in overtime and scored to send the Wreckers to

the Class L final with a 9-8 win over Ridgefield in the Class L semifinals. Riley Strub, Darien: The senior scored four times, including the goal that put the Blue Wave ahead for good, and assisted on two others in a 16-9 Class L semifinal win over Fairfield Prep.

Charlie Johnson, Wilton: The junior attackman scored five goals and added an assist in a 14-6 win over Cheshire in the Class M semifinals. Aiden Fletcher, Notre Dame-West Haven: The senior scored four goals, two that put his team ahead and two more to help break the game open in the third quarter, as the Green Knights reached their first CIAC final with an 11-5 win over East Catholic in the Class M semifinals.

Duncan Craine, Weston: Senior defender forced five turnovers and scooped up nine ground balls, helping shut down Haddam-Killingwor­th in the Trojans’ 16-4 win in the Class S semifinals.

Hunter Willcox, Northwest Catholic: The junior goalie made 10 saves in the Lions’ 14-10 win over Canton in the Class S semifinals, sending Northwest Catholic to its first final.
