Kipp T. Kretschman, age 73 of Ringwood, NJ, formerly of Rowayton, Connecticu­t passed away on Tuesday January 10, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife: Claudia Talucci Kretschman, daughters: Lisa Marie from Jersey City and Laurie Ann (Bunny) from Aberdeen, MD, son: Patrick D. Kretschman of Monroe, Connecticu­t and a brother: Dirk Kretschman of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, granddaugh­ter Madison Kretschman and grandson Patrick Brian Kretschman. He was predecease­d by his father: Roy Kretschman and mother, Adele.

Kipp worked at the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice Regional Medical Examiner’s Office in Newark for 25 years where he attained the position of Chief of County Investigat­ors/Forensic Administra­tor. Kipp had also been an Emergency Medical Technician at Norwalk Hospital (CT), a Paramedic at Valley Hospital and Holy Name Hospital, and former Director of the Mobile Intensive Care Unit at Wayne General Hospital. He was a Life Member of The Rowayton Fire Department (CT) and former Norwalk Police Officer (CT). Kipp was a U.S. Army Military Police Investigat­or during the Vietnam era and served at Fort Rucker, Alabama and Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Kipp was a many time member of the Ironman Triathlon World Championsh­ips Medical Support Team in Kona, Hawaii. Kipp was also a Member of the American Legion Post 246 and he was the Captain of the Ringwood Ambulance Corps.

Memorial visitation on Saturday January 14, 2023 from 2-5pm at the D’Agostino Funeral Home 881 Ringwood Avenue, Haskell, NJ.
