NORWALK — The Common Council has approved two new board members to the Board of Estimate and Taxation, following the departure of two members.

Anne Yang and Kendrick Constant were unanimously approved by the Council to fill vacancies on the BET. Yang and Constant are among 13 people approved for appointment Tuesday night to various city committees, boards and commissions.

Yang and Constant replace former BET members Sheri McCreadyPritchett (formerly Sheri Brown) and Ed Camacho, respectively. McCready-Pritchett left the BET in 2021 after being elected to the Board of Education. McCreadyPritchett’s seat was left vacant since her November 2021 election to the BOE.

Camacho vacated his BET seat to fill the open Common Council seat left when former Council member state Rep. Dominique Johnson assumed her current position.

For the first time since the 2021 election, the BET is fully staffed. Yang’s term will expire this November, while Constant’s term runs through November 2025.

Along with Yang and Constant, four people were added to the Fair Housing Advisory Commission, including McCready-Pritchett, according to city documents. The three other new members are Jalin Sead, the Rev. Richard Clarke and Joseph Mann.

Two members were added to the Zoning Board of Appeals: Steven Ferguson and Benjamin Hanpeter, according to city documents. The Conservation, Fair Rent, and Status of Women Commissions all received one new member.

The Parking Authority, Board of Assessment Appeals and Library Board of Directors each received a new member as well.
