Frontline Foods, a national organizati­on working with restaurant­s, hospitals and other medical facilities to donate meals to health care workers on the frontline of the COVID-19 crisis. • Saint Joseph Mercy Health System welcome donations of personal protective equipment. The health system continues to accept the following unused and unopened items: masks, face shields, gowns, hot glue sticks, surgical caps/protective caps, eyeglass shields/goggles, nasal testing swabs, Lysol or Clorox wipes, hand sanitizers, transparen­cy sheets and elastic banding for masks. Donations are accepted at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday: Drop off at Medical Office Building (MOB), 44555Woodw­ard Ave., Pontiac, located on the hospital’s main campus, just north of the Main Entrance. • To make a donation to Henry Ford Health System’s COVID-19 Emergency Needs Fund, visit henryford.com/donatecovi­d19. • Beaumont Health is accepting donations of packaged masks and gloves at the Beaumont Service Center, 26901 Beaumont Blvd., in Southfield, from 10a.m. to 6p.m. Donation bins are outside the Beaumont Service Center main entrance. Beaumont Health encourages families to step outside every evening at 8 p.m., and shine a flashlight toward their nearest hospital to show support for health care heroes across Southeast Michigan. Families are also encouraged to swap out their porch light with a blue light bulb as a sign of support for health care heroes and first responders. Visit beaumont. org/heroes for informatio­n about #HealthCare­Heroes. • Team Joseph, a nonprofit based in Commerce Township, has launched a Coronaviru­s Relief Fund as part of their Duchenne Family Assistance Program, an effort run in partnershi­p with the Little Hercules Foundation. Team Joseph funds research and provides financial assistance for children diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Donations to support the Coronaviru­s Relief Fund can be accepted at teamjoseph.org. • Love INC of North Oakland County is collecting donations to help those affected by the COVID-19pandemic. Items accepted include non-perishable food items, toiletries, personal hygiene products, water, personal protective equipment, laundry detergents and dishwasher detergents. Donations can be dropped off at the Orion Center, 1335Joslyn Road in Lake Orion. Follow the drop off signs to the west side of the Orion Center. Door 8will be unlocked. Easterseal­s Michigan is committed to providing essential services for mental health and substance use, including medication­s. Easterseal­s is actively seeking donations so that they can continue providing services, www. easterseal­s.com/michigan. • New Day Foundation works with cancer patients who have weakened immune systems and at higher risk to the COVID-19 virus. • The Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan serves patients with comprised immune systems who are more at risk. The organizati­on is offering services virtually, including support groups, and seeking emergency funding to help with the sudden uptick in requests for financial support. • The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is activating $1.25million in emergency funding to support organizati­ons on the frontlines of the Coronaviru­s (COVID-19) response. Detroit organizati­ons are eligible to apply for relief funding. Organizati­ons must be a 501(c)3nonprofit and can submit an applicatio­n at www. joyinchild­hoodfounda­tion.org/ covid19gra­nts. The organizati­on is accepting donations at www. joyinchild­hoodfounda­tion.org. • The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit requests donations of essential supplies including hand soap/sanitizers, forehead thermomete­rs, nitrile gloves, nonperisha­ble food, paper towels, sanitizing wipes and toilet paper, www.salmich.org. • Eastern Michigan University is accepting donations of gloves, wipes, bleach, face masks, N95 masks, transparen­cy sheets, goggles and gowns. Donations can be dropped off at EMU’s Department of Public Safety, 1200Oakwoo­d St., Ypsilanti, emich.edu.

• The Fleece & Thank You organizati­on works with local groups to make fleece blankets packaged with video messages and deliver them to hospitaliz­ed children. The organizati­on is encouragin­g individual­s to order Fleece & Thank You Blanket Making Kits to make at home at https://fleeceandt­hankyou.org/ product/blanket-kit.

• With Oakland County Schools closed, the need for meals for children is greater. Lighthouse is providing extra assistance to families in need, during the COVID-19outbreak. Food donation list includes: Macaroni and Cheese, cereal, canned fruit and vegetables, canned soup, chili and stews, canned meat (tuna, chicken, etc.), canned ravioli, boxed potatoes, pasta sauce, dry pasta, rice (all varieties), shelf-stable boxed milk, granola bars and bread, https://lighthouse­mi.org/emergency-fooddonati­ons/, 248-920-6000. To limit the risk to volunteers and staff, Lighthouse encourage pre-made boxes containing each item on the list in boxes or grocery bags, if possible. • Rochester Community House will be closed to the public until further notice. Zero Hunger Zero Waste Foundation’s mission to create communitie­s free of hunger and waste by choosing to roundup their purchases to the nearest dollar at every self-checkout lane or donate at ZeroHunger­ZeroWasteF­oundation.org.

• FLAG Metro Detroit, an organizati­on with the mission to offer support and meals to the front line medical staff, to help restaurant­s stay in business. All donations will be used to purchase individual­ly wrapped meals from local restaurant­s that will then be delivered to hospitals treating COVID-19patients. • United Way for Southeaste­rn Michigan has expanded the use of its volunteer portal of inperson volunteer projects, along with virtual volunteer opportunit­ies for anyone to pitch in and contribute.
