Clerk Brown offering drive-thru registration
Oakland County Clerk Lisa Brown is offering Southeastern Michigan voters a chance to get registered for this year’s election by hosting a drive-thru voter registration event on Tuesday at the county offices, located at 1200 N. Telegraph Road in Pontiac, according to a press release.
The event, held in celebration of National Voter Registration Day, will be held from 12-1:30 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Medical Examiner’s Facility, which is Building 2E.
Residents, who are asked to wear a mask to the event, will follow posted signs and pull up to the building, where they will fill out and return their registration form inside their vehicle.
“I have enjoyed hosting National Voter Registration Day events for the past several years,” Brown said in the release.
“Each year, I have done something different. Last year, I partnered with some of our local clerks and hosted voter registration at four OCC campuses,” she said.
“This year,
I wanted to offer residents a convenient way to register to vote while taking all necessary health and safety precautions, so I’m planning a drive-thru.”
