Three people have been arrested in connection to an attack that left a 38-year old missing four fingers. The Oakland County Sheriff’ s Office reported that the Pontiac man had been attacked late on Monday, Sept. 21. He told investigators that he was outside of an apartment on Mechanic Street to meet with a woman and her boyfriend.

Inside the apartment, the woman later told investigators, a man knocked and entered after being let in, then attacked the victim with a large crescent wrench. The attack led to four fingers being severed on the man’s right hand.

“The victim claimed the female and her boyfriend also assaulted him and he believes he was set-up by these three individuals,” the sheriff’s office reported. “It is believed this was possible retaliation as themain suspect had been shot the day prior to this incident and the victim may have been the one responsible for the shooting.”

The victim had to be taken to University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

The sheriff’s office said all three suspects have been arrested and jailed, all charged with armed robbery and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. They include:

• Patrick Fredrick-Deon Leak (aka: Patrick Deon Sykes), a 40-year-old Pontiac man, who was being held on an $85,000 cash or surety bond.

• Patricia Deneen Osborn (AKA: Patricia Denny), a 56-year-old Pontiac woman whowas held on a $40,000 cash or surety bond.

• Henry Rahsaun Simms, a 32-year- old Pontiac man who was ordered held on a $50,000 cash or surety bond.

All three suspects, who all have past convictions, are due back in court on Oct. 6.

Three of the fingers were found in the apartment, and the fourth had reportedly ended up in the woman’s purse, later thrown into a grassy area when they fled the area. That fourth finger was found in a field near the apartment complex.

“Ablood covered knife was discovered as well, whichwas more consistent with the victim’ s injuries ,” the sheriff’ s office said .“The alleged crescent wrench was not located .”

Police said that doctors were able to reattach one of the four fingers.
