Sanom’s buzzer-beater leads Berkley over Oxford

A recap of high school sporting events reported to The Oakland Press on Monday night:

Girls basketball BERKLEY 27, OXFORD 24

Ryleigh Sanom hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Berkley to a 27-24 win over Oxford on Monday night.

Sanom finished with 15 points to lead the Bears while Miranda Wyniemko led Oxford with eight points.

LAKE ORION 42, TROY ATHENS 36

Lake Orion improved to 6-4 on the season Monday night thanks to a 42-36 win at Troy Athens.

Kylie Heck had 14 points to lead the Dragons while Maddie Ebbert scored 11.

CLARKSTON 63, TROY 58

The Clarkston girls basketball team grinded out a 63-58 win over Troy on Monday night.

Olivia Toderan had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead the Wolves, while Madison Skorupski had 16 points and seven rebounds. Morgan Hunter chipped in with 13 points and eight rebounds.

Lauren Gumma and Kendal Zeiter each scored 18 points to lead the Colts.

NORTH FARMINGTON 43, ADAMS 35

North Farmington picked up its second win of the season on Monday, topping Rochester Adams 4335.

Sela Lefler had 17 points and five assists to lead the Raiders in the win, while Heaven Rogers had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Lauren Petersmark had 10 points to lead the Highlander­s.

CLAWSON 53, CENTER LINE 15

Abbey Lodato had 19 points and six steals to lead Clawson to a dominant win over Center Line on Monday night.

Charlie Verner added 12 points, four steals and three assists for the Trojans while Aliyah Vesper had seven points.

SOUTHFIELD CHRISTIAN 56, WHITMORE LAKE 40

Rachel Cairo scored 26 points to lead Southfield Christian to a 56-40 win over Whitmore Lake on Monday night.

Madison Moore added 20 points for the Eagles in the win.

Boys basketball KETTERING 44, ROYAL OAK 32

The Waterford Kettering boys basketball team improved to 5-4 on the season Monday night with a win over Royal Oak.

Bennie Crenshaw and Trevor Donahue each scored nine points to lead the Captains in the win.

CLARKSTON 75, WEST

BLOOMFIELD 59

The Clarkston boys basketball team had an offensive outburst on Monday in a 75-59 win over West Bloomfield.

Keegan Wasilk had 20 points and eight assists to lead the Wolves in the win, while Mike DePillo had 11 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.

Ryan Hurst had 23 points to lead the Lakers.

SOUTH LYON EAST 66, ARBOR PREP 44

South Lyon East picked up a non-conference win over Ypsilanti Arbor Prep on Monday, 66-44.

Zander Desentz had 14 points to lead the Cougars, while Christian Dimitriou and Drake Willenborg each scored 12.
