Gymnastics BLOOMFIELD HILLS WINS LEAGUE TITLE

The Bloomfield Hills High School girls gymnastics team won their first league championsh­ip on Thursday at Fraser High School.

The third-year Black Hawks program had a total combined score of 142.325 on Thursday to claim the title.

Members of the team include Gwen Arens, Anna German, Kalyn Mullens, Caitie Wallet, Sammi Desmond, Chloe Gilcher, Katie Noetti, Maeve Wright, Brooke Klein, Noelle Simonelli, Cameron Spanga, Libby Islar, Taryn Saroken and Madison Snyder. They are coached by Amanda Allen and Ashley Moskal.

On Thursday, Wright finished first on the beam and second overall. Gilcher placed first on the vault, while German finished first on the bars.

Boys basketball TROY ATHENS 59, OXFORD 46

The Troy Athens boys basketball team picked up an OAA Blue win over Oxford on Friday night, 5946.

Michael Justice led the Red Hawks in the win with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Christian Jemmoa added 13 points.

Mason Mulholland Oxford with 16 points.

CLARKSTON 42, SOUTHFIELD A&T 37

Clarkston won its second game in two nights on Friday, besting Southfield A&T 42-37.

Keegan Wasilk had 19 points, nine rebounds and five assists to lead the Wolves in the win. Luke Scherler and Mike DePillo each had six points and four rebounds.

LAKE ORION 44, LAPEER 40

The Lake Orion boys basketball improved to 9-2 on the season Friday night with a win over Lapeer.

Alden Ritt led the Dragons in the win with 10 points, while Andrew Bryant had eight points.

SOUTHFIELD CHRISTIAN 70, ROEPER 28

The Southfield Christian boys basketball team moved to 9-1 on the season Friday night with a 70-28 win over Roeper.

Uchenna Amene had 20 points to lead the Eagles, while Verian Patrick had 17 points and seven assists.

Thai Fowler led Roeper with 12 points.

Girls basketball TROY 69, TROY ATHENS 50

Troy earned a rivalry win over Troy Athens on Friday night, 69-50.

Lauren Gumma had 24 points to lead the Colts, including six 3-pointers. As a team, Troy knocked down 14 triples in the victory.

Clara Shoales had 16 points to lead the Red Hawks, while Nitya Balusu had 15 points with six rebounds. Gillian Ciak added 13 points and 11 rebounds.

SOUTHFIELD A&T 53, SEAHOLM 37

Maggie Liebler had nine points and six rebounds to lead Seaholm, while Katie Sullivan had seven points and seven rebounds.

WL CENTRAL 42, MOTT 13

The Walled Lake Central girls basketball team picked up a 42-13 win over Waterford Mott on Friday night.

Kyle Anderson had 12 points to lead the Vikings, while Abbey Renner had 11.

The Corsairs were led by Madison Winters, who had six points.
