Easter-themed activities and egg drops planned

Here’s a list of Easter egg hunts and activities happening in the area:

• Egg-cellent Adventure: 8 a.m. March 25- 8 p.m. March 31, Mill Pond Park (495 Broadway, Davisburg), Springfiel­d Township Parks & Recreation scavenger hunt for high school students, $5 each, facebook.com/springfiel­dtwpparksa­ndrecreati­on.

• The Southfield Parks & Recreation Department to host “Eggs on Wheels”, March 26 at the Parks and Recreation Building parking lot, 26000 Evergreen Road, Southfield. Guests will drive through the Southfield Parks & Recreation Building parking lot and front circle to view performers and Easter bunny, with goodie bags for children ages 2-13. Motorists must stay in vehicle, and wear masks. Purchase a time slot, $10 per car for residents, $20 for non-residents, apm.activecomm­unities.com/Southfield­Parks, (248) 7964620. (Rain date is March 28).

• Rochester Municipal Park annual Easter Egg hunt is March 27, near the Kiwanis Shelter (green shelter), registrati­on required at rararecrea­tion. org/Events/Rochester-Easter-Egg-Hunt, ages 1-11, $6 per child.

• The Village of Rochester Hills kicked off its Easter celebratio­n. Reserve a visit with the Easter Bunny at reservatio­ns. getwisely.com/easter-atthe-village-of-rochesterh­ills. Bring a camera, socially distanced visits with the Easter Bunny are March 26, March 27, April 2, and April 3.

• Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce Easter Bunny Extravagan­za drive-up event is March 27 at the Milford High School parking lot, 2380 S. Milford Road, Highland Twp. The first 500 children receive a goody bag. The event will begin at 10 a.m. with cars entering the parking lot off of Lone Tree Road in a single file. Motorists can tune in to a radio station and hear “Bunny Radio” as they drive by sponsor tents. Cars will eventually split into two lines and drive by the Easter Bunny. Motorists can take photos with the Easter Bunny, one car at a time, huronvcc. com, 248-685-7129.

• Costume character Miss Dixie Cottontail will host photo visits with children at Hawthorne Park, 1400 Telegraph Road, Pontiac, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 28, facebook.com/missdixiec­ottontail.

• The Ortonville Lions Club’s Easter egg hunt is 10 a.m. April 3 at H.T. Burt Football Field, 209 Varsity Drive, Ortonville, for ages 12 and younger, masks and social distancing, facebook.com/Ortonville­Lions, free.

• Egg Drop and Easter Fun Eggstravag­anza is noon-6 p.m. April 3, Canterbury Village, 2359 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, canterbury­village.com. Free admission with the donation of four cans or nonperisha­ble food items. Timed egg drops by age group, (plastic eggs are planned to be dropped by helicopter on the field and then children go out to gather the eggs), adv. registrati­on required, parking is $5.
