Daily cases of the virus have been trending higher even as more and more people get their vaccinations.

There were 626 new cases in Macomb County, 560 cases and one death in Oakland County, 509 cases and one death in Wayne County, and 199 cases and two deaths in Detroit.

In mid Michigan, there were seven cases in Clare County, 10 cases in Gratiot County, and 22 cases in Isabella County.

Just three of Michigan’s

83 counties reported no new cases or deaths.

The vaccination rate against the virus in Michigan is just shy of 30$, at 29.6% of the estimated 8,096,917 residents age 16 or older.

So far, 2,400,319 state residents have been completely vaccinated against the virus, including 321,974 in Oakland County, 272,936 in Wayne County, 186,015 in Macomb County, and 87,896 in Detroit.
