Easter egg hunts, activities planned throughout county
The following list of Easter egg hunts and activities are happening in the area. Face masks and social distancing are required:
• Easter Egg Hunt is 1-3 p.m. March 28, at Gilbert Willis Park, 2911 Chickasaw St., Wixom, www.wixomgov.org, ages 2-10, $5 per child, vehicle registration begins at 12:30 p.m.
• Egg-cellent Adventure is happening through 8 p.m. March 31 at Mill Pond Park (495 Broadway, Davisburg), Springfield Township Parks & Recreation scavenger hunt for high school students, $5 each, facebook. com/springfieldtwpparksandrecreation.
• The Village of Rochester Hills kicked off its Easter celebration. Reserve a visit with the Easter Bunny at reservations.getwisely. com/easter-at-the-villageof-rochester-hills. Bring a camera, upcoming socially distanced visits with the Easter Bunny are April 2-3.
• Costume character Miss Dixie Cottontail will host photo visits with children at Hawthorne Park, 1400 Telegraph Road, Pontiac, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 28, facebook.com/missdixiecottontail.
• The Ortonville Lions Club’s Easter egg hunt is 10 a.m. April 3 at H.T. Burt Football Field, 209 Varsity Drive, Ortonville, for ages 12 and younger, masks and social distancing, facebook. com/OrtonvilleLions, free.
• Egg Drop and Easter Fun Eggstravaganza is noon-6 p.m. April 3, Canterbury Village, 2359 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, canterburyvillage.com. Free admission with the donation of four cans or nonperishable food items. Timed egg drops by age group, (plastic eggs are planned to be dropped by helicopter on the field and then children go out to gather the eggs), face masks and adv. registration required, parking is $5.
• Easter Egg Hunt turned Bunny Trail is noon-2 p.m. April 3 at Civic Center Park, 1721-1739 N. Squirrel Road, Auburn Hills. Children younger than 12 are invited to walk the trail for Easter treats and wear a homemade bonnet for an extra surprise, $2 per child payable at the start of the trail, auburnhills.org.
