Throughout National Financial Literacy Month in April, Farmington Hillsbased business Bloom Advisors is helping local residents gain practical money management skills and healthy financial habits.

The family-owned financial planning company is hosting seven free webinars where money experts will talk about savings and investing, financial wellness for women, income needs during retirement, estate planning, finances for millennials and more.

“No matter where you are with your finances, there is always something you can do to improve your situation. We want to provide you with real information that you can use to make better decisions with your money because I firmly believe money looks better in your pocket than it does anywhere else,” said Rick Bloom, who co-founded Bloom Advisors in 1984.

Jennifer Bloom, director of client management, said the company’s goal with these webinars is to educate the public and help them

achieve financial freedom.

“Unfortunately, we don’t teach personal finance

in schools so it’s no surprise that there is a knowledge gap. Especially now, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need has never been greater and we, as a firm, want to be a trusted resource for people in the community,” she said.

The first free webinar – titled “Taking Control of Your Finances” – is at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 8. After that, Bloom Advisors is hosting a webinar at the same time every Tuesday and Thursday through April 29.
